Reduced fees for Teams Attending Provincials | Association teams registering for provincial championships receive a reduced rate, since their players have already registered as members of Basketball New Brunswick. |
Assistance with Development | BNB is always available to help registered associations with all aspects of development, such as NCCP clinics, administrative advice, player clinics, and the 'Introduction to Officiating' program. |
Voting at the BNB Annual General Meeting | Registered Minor Associations are the only groups to carry 2-3 votes (pending Association size) on motions presented at the Basketball New Brunswick AGM. |
Merchandise Discount | BNB provides registered Associations with a discount on selected merchandise available through the office. |
High level of awareness within BNB | The views and opinions of a Minor Association are expected to represent a large number of people, and concerns are reacted to seriously and efficiently. |

'Introduction to Officiating' Program | Basketball New Brunswick operates an 'Introduction to Officiating' program, in conjunction with the AABO. This program provides instruction for anyone (young or old) interested in training to become an official. |
The BNB registration/insurance year runs from September 1 to August 31. All Member Groups must re-register annually.
The deadline for member groups to register/submit their membership list is prior to their first games.
For teams traveling outside of Canada, Basketball New Brunswick's insurance coverage is limited to emergency accident and liability, and has no coverage for illness. Everyone traveling should have some form of additional travel medical insurance whether by group insurance (typically through a parent/guardian's policy) or by buying short term coverage from a travel agent (ex: CAA). Travel dates and travelling members must be communicated to info@basketball.nb.ca prior to departure.
