BNB's Bi-Weekly 50/50 Draw is LIVE! $1000 Jackpot up for grabs!

 Basketball New Brunswick is venturing where it’s never gone before.

 And with all the developmental progress BNB has experienced over the last few years, an opportunity to branch out fundraising is part of a new fundraising initiative to help children in need of funding to play the game and the continued costs of programming.

 BNB will launch its new 50-50 lottery draw beginning in early March.

 ‘Our mission is to continue growing the game of basketball in New Brunswick,’ said BNB’s Tyler Slipp of Fredericton. ‘We are committed to giving children of all backgrounds the opportunity to enjoy the game and all the life lessons that go with basketball.’

 The lottery is available on BNB’s website at www.basketball.nb.ca and is simple to play.

 Click on the PLAY button and you can purchase as many tickets as you like in order to be eligible for the price payout.

 The initial lottery prize jackpot is set for $1000.

 ‘BNB wants to ensure there aren’t young players unable to participate in programming due to financial limitations,’ said Slipp. ‘Proceeds will also help us spread our programming into more age categories across New Brunswick so we can keep growing the game.’

 Slipp believes the basketball population – and others outside the sport – encompasses a large number from its 19 and over participants, coaches, administrators and family members that support youth basketball.

 All participants in the lottery must be 19 or over.
 BNB’s staff and board members and immediate family members are ineligible to participate in the weekly draw.

 ‘We’re excited to get the word out about our fundraising lottery and believe there will be interest in our pilot project when it comes to testing the waters,’ Slipp said. ‘It’s simple to play and to win $500 right off the bat will certainly benefit someone. We look forward to this initiative.’
