IMPORTANT - Zones 1-4 in Red Alert Level, Effective Jan 20, 2021

2021-01-19

UPDATED ON JANUARY 19, 2021

Effective January 20, 2021, Zones 1-4 are now in the Province of New Brunswick Red Alert Level.

A reminder that for Recreation and Sport, this means:
  • Gym and fitness facilities are closed, including other similar close contact sport or recreational businesses or facilities
  • Organized sport and recreation activities are not allowed (indoor or outdoor)
    • Leisure participation in sport and recreation activities may only be done individually or with members of the same household bubble.
  • Outdoor public recreational spaces such as outdoor rinks, cross-country trails, etc. can remain open as long as the ability to use them is in a location and manner that ensures you can maintain 2m physical distancing from others and all reasonable attempts are made to prevent gatherings.
For Zones remaining in the Orange Alert Level, we remind you of the following important risk mitigating measures:
  • Screening (please remind all of your participants of the importance to not show up at activities if they have ANY symptom(s))
  • 2m physical distanced practices only. No scrimmages, games, contact, etc
  • Masks recommended where practical and tolerable. Coaches must wear masks at all times.
  • No new groups/teams. Only pre-established weekly/seasonal groups that are familiar with the rules, etc.
  • Minor Associations/Clubs should adopt stricter requirements (or suspend their activities) if they feel it is required.
