Now Available: Return to Basketball Plan - v6.0

2021-03-05

Following the Province of New Brunswick's announcement of all Health Zones moving to the Yellow Alert Level on Monday, March 8th, Basketball New Brunswick is releasing our RETURN TO BASKETBALL PLAN v6.0.

Important items to note with this change:
- Competition is now permitted in all regions of the province*.
- Tournaments are only permitted with teams from the same health zone, are limited 150 people (including athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, spectators, etc.) and must have a separate operational plan approved by BNB.
- In-game rule modifications found in previous versions of our Return to Basketball Plan have been removed.
- Strict distancing measures off the court are still in place (benches, locker rooms, etc.)

*While competition is permitted outside of each health zone, we encourage our member groups to use their judgement and avoid excessive and/or unnecessary travel that may increase the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus. Team meals, hotel nights, unnecessary shopping, etc. continue to be discouraged at this time.

For FULL DETAILS on the current Yellow Alert Level status of sports, please consult the GNB Sport Branch FAQ Document here.
