BNB Awards - Association/Club of the Year

This week we are announcing our 2021 Service Award recipients. We are thrilled to be recognizing five individuals and one club this week - we thank you for your contributions to the basketball community! We are starting with the Association/Club of the Year Award!

506 ELITE

"506 Elite is based in Moncton NB and feels privileged to have access to one of the best basketball training facilities in NB at TH Sports Group. Nate Horsman is the Director of Basketball and Andrew Trites looks after partnerships and logistics.

Covid certainly offered all of us around the game many unique challenges this past season but having access to a private facility allowed 506 Elite to field 8 provincial teams and also run a successful grassroots program called Jr.506 for boys and girls ages 4-14. 6 of these teams played under the 506 Elite program and 2 teams played under the Shamrocks program. The Shamrocks are led by two of the most enthusiastic and supportive coaches you will find anywhere, Mr. Brock Gallant and Michael Riedel.

Our parent group and volunteers have been nothing short of amazing. 506 Elite and Shamrocks would not exist without parents and players taking a leap of faith to join our program. The kids trained hard all year, played a few games when we could but the more exciting part for us was to witness the progression in our athletes skills and also the resiliency they showed during a tough season overall."
