This week we are announcing our 2021 Service Award recipients. We are thrilled to be recognizing five individuals and one club this week - we thank all our recipients for your contributions to the basketball community!
Today we are recognizing Alyssa Lebans. The Special Merit Award is presented to someone who has gone above and beyond for the sport of basketball in areas such as organizing, managing, coaching, developing and promiting in their communities and province wide.
ALYSSA LEBANS
"I played for BNB growing up, but I’m a better coach than athlete. As a new coach, I was lucky enough to be recruited as an assistant during the first year of BNB’s Elite Development Program in 2011. Since then, I’ve been involved with women’s high performance, where I’ve had the opportunity to coach at national championships and Canada Games. Currently I’m BNB’s Vice President and am taking a break from coaching while on parental leave."
