Sport Community Mourns Long-time Basketball Official

Fran received a Basketball New Brunswick Officials Award in 1991. He was inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame in 1997 and the Greater Saint John Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.

On the basketball court, he officiated at provincial, national and international events, and continued to be the assigning officer for the greater Saint John region until just a few years ago. Fran was also a very accomplished baseball official for many years.
