Registration for BNB's flagship development program is now open. Join the hundreds of Basketball players in New Brunswick looking to improve their skills and vying to represent Team NB in the summer of 2023 in the Bantam Elite Camp, U14 and U15 Provincial teams.

The Jr. Elite Development Program (Jr EDP) is now accepting registrations for the 2022-2023 program.

Basketball New Brunswick is very pleased to once again be offering the Junior Elite Development Program (EDP) for the 2022-2023 season commencing in September in five regions across the province for athletes born in 2009 and 2010 (typically grades 7 & 8). The updated curriculum aligns with Canada Basketball and New Brunswick's Style of Play, which gives players the foundation needed to progress through EDP, Bantam Elite Camp, and our Provincial Team programs. Each on-court session will focus on developing individual skills and concepts within the offensive and defensive structures utilized by our summer provincial teams. The junior program is also a key identifier of potential provincial team athletes, and is an integral part of establishing our provincial player depth chart.

The program also includes our holistic Gold Medal Performance program meant to address the physical, mental and nutritional pillars of performance. The program combines a fully periodized strength and conditioning program created specifically for basketball players by former world-class New Brunswick badminton athlete and current performance specialist Luke Couture. Players will be supported with access to the online program and exercise videos along with monthly zoom check-ins and sessions led by top sport nutritionists, performance experts and sport psychologists.

To be considered for BNB Provincial Teams or Bantam Elite Camp, athletes are required to participate in EDP. There will be eight training sessions in the fall and six training sessions in the spring. Each round of training sessions will conclude with a centralized Competition Day.
