Call for 2024 Provincial Team Coaches!

Basketball New Brunswick is now accepting coaching applications for our revamped 2024 provincial team season. We are seeking coaches for our men’s and women’s 15U, 16U, and 17U teams. 
 
APPLICATION DEADLINE - MIDNIGHT DECEMBER 13TH.
 
Canada Basketball Requirements for Coaches:
 

**New** NCCP Requirements	1st Year Involvement at Nationals	2nd Year Involvement at Nationals	3+ Years Involvement at Nationals
15U or 17U Head Coach	Train to Compete In Training	Train to Compete Trained	Train to Compete Certified
15U or 17U Assistant Coach	Train to Compete In Training	Train to Compete Trained	Train to Compete Certified

 

• A minimum of one member of each coaching staff (not including managers and trainers) must be the same gender of the team they are coaching.
• If the head coach of a female team is male, the assistant coach and manager must be female. 
• For female teams, one of two head coaches must be female. 

 
Keys to a successful applicant:

• Connected/involved with the current basketball environment in New Brunswick.
• Available to participate in talent identification sessions and BNB’s Revamped High Performance Spring League in the spring of 2024.
• Strong communicator with exceptional organizational skills.
• Willing to work with BNB to select coaching staff in order to maximize team potential and assist players in developing skills to achieve on and off-court personal goals.

Interested coaches must complete THIS ONLINE FORM, as well as submit a cover letter & coaching resume by the deadline of midnight on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023.

Successful candidates will be required to submit a Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
