The NBML playoffs began at the Currie Center on Wednesday night, hosting two big quarter-final matchups. Both the River Bandits and Spartans won big to punch their tickets to the final four.

GAME 1: River Bandits 103, RoadRunners 72
The River Bandits have been on a tear and it did not stop last night. A back and forth first half would find the game tied at 42 after 20 minutes, but a huge second half from the River Bandits would quickly leave the RoadRunners in the dust. The River Bandits will now move on to play the top-seeded Flying Dutchman in the NBML semi-finals!

GAME 2: Spartans 114, Lumberjacks 91
Following a tough loss last week, the Spartans came out hot early and never looked back. There was not much the Lumberjacks could do to stop the Spartans’ balanced scoring attack, as it felt like they couldn’t miss. The Spartans have earned their spot in the NBML semi-finals against the 2-seeded HighToppers!

Winners of the semi-final games will advance to the NBML championship on June 29th at 1:00pm in Saint John!
