Team NB 2024
Basketball New Brunswick is pleased to once again offer our U15 & U17 Provincial Teams for the Summer of 2024 who will compete at the 2024 U15 & U17 National Championships in August. We are also thrilled to announce the return of our U16 Provincial teams this summer which will offer increased opportunities for both Player and Coach development.
Provincial teams will begin training at the conclusion of the tryout process and culminate with National Championship tournaments in August. Teams typically practice on weekends with possible weeknight skill sessions and will travel throughout the summer for competitive opportunities vs other provinces or suitable competition.

June 21-23 - Atlantic Canada Competition in Halifax (Girls Teams)

June 28-30 - Montreal Competition (All teams)

July 12-14 - Atlantic Canada Competition in Halifax (Boys Teams)

July 19-21 - BNB Summerfest in Fredericton (end of U16 season)

Aug 3-10 - U15 & U17 National Championships (end of U17 & U15 season)
**Teams will be training together throughout the summer from the beginning of the Team training window up until their final competition**
To be considered for BNB Provincial Teams, athletes are required to attend a Regional ID Session and participate in the High Performance Spring League (or follow the compassionate appeals process).

Eligible Athletes: | Males and Females, born from 2007 to 2010.U17 Teams: Athletes born in 2007 & 2008 |
Tryout/Selection Procedure: | Only players who have registered and participated in the 2024 High Performance Spring League or were granted compassionate appeals are eligible for consideration to tryout. A select number of athletes identified through the High Performance Spring League will be invited(via email) to participate in our provincial team tryouts.2024 Invited Players List |
Tryout Dates & Times: | Athletes are to attend all sessions for their respective Age group / TeamU17 Girls (2007s & 2008s): @ Fredericton High SchoolSaturday June 1st - 12-2pm & 4-6pm |
Tryout Cost: | There will be no cost to attend the tryout |
Summer Team Fee: | U15 & U17 - $1900U16 - $900Fee Includes: Under Armour Gear Package, team training sessions, registration in 3 major competitions(Atlantic Event, Montreal Event, BNB Summerfest), accomodations included for Atlantic Canada and Montreal Events, and all costs associated with participating in the 2024 Canadian National Championships for U15 and U17 teams(registration, travel, accomodations, and meals). |
