NCCP Clinics

 

Reminder

        
All youth teams participating in Provincial Championships must have a coach with a status of 'TRAINED' or CERTIFIED on the bench during games. Coaches must have completed the NCCP Learn to Train course giving them a status of 'TRAINED' OR their full NCCP Level 1 certification under the old system. Coaches unable to meet this requirement may apply for a One Year Extension ($75). Coaches that have previously received this extension may not reapply.

NCCP COURSES

FUNdamentals - Previously referred to as Community Coach - includes both a theory and technical component and is aimed at recreational and youth level coaches.

Learn to Train (L2T) - Previously referred to as Level 1 or Introduction to Competition - includes both theory and technical combined into one course, traditionally offered on a Friday-Saturday.

Train to Train (T2T) - Previously referred to as Level 2 or Introduction to Competition Advanced - includes both theory and technical combined into one course, traditionally offered on a Saturday-Sunday.

Train to Compete (T2C) - Previously referred to as Level 3 or Competition Development - this is the technical component only, the theory portion is offered through Coach NB (www.coachnb.com). The T2C technical component includes 3 weekends of training - 1) Teaching Basketball Skills, 2) Tactics & Strategies, 3) Planning.
